BIRMINGHAM, MATANUSANTARA -— Suasana duka menyelimuti kota Birmingham, Inggris, saat ribuan penggemar berkumpul memberi penghormatan terakhir kepada Ozzy Osbourne, ikon musik heavy metal dunia yang wafat di usia 76 tahun.
Prosesi pemakaman Ozzy yang berlangsung Rabu (30/07) menyusuri Broad Street menuju Black Sabbath Bridge, lokasi bersejarah yang dihiasi patung dan bangku mengenang band legendaris asal kota tersebut.
Istri mendiang, Sharon Osbourne, bersama ketiga anak mereka turut hadir secara emosional di lokasi, menabur bunga dan menerima dukungan dari ribuan penggemar yang sudah menunggu sejak pagi.
“Ozzy bukan sekadar legenda musik — ia adalah anak kebanggaan Birmingham,” ujar Walikota Birmingham, Zafar Iqbal, menegaskan ikatan kuat antara Ozzy dan kota kelahirannya, seperti yang dikutip dalam data Google trand, Jumat 01 Agustus 2025 dini hari.

Ozzy meninggal tak lama setelah tampil terakhir kalinya di panggung — sebuah reuni emosional bersama para personel Black Sabbath di Birmingham, kota tempat semuanya bermula.
Penyebab Wafat: Ozzy diketahui mengidap Parkinson sejak 2020, dan pensiun dari tur di tahun 2023 karena kondisi kesehatannya menurun. Ia wafat secara damai di kediamannya di Inggris.
